Grate pattern is made in our pattern and mold shop.
Once the pattern is made it goes to the foundry and a
sand mold is made.
Once the sand mold is made it can then
be cast in bronze, brass, aluminum steel or in this case,
cast iron.
The cast iron is then “chased”( flash is cleaned off)
and then it was installed in this air intake.
We can make all
types of foundry patterns and master molds for any of these
applications including lost wax casting. |
